Sharing my top 10 health and wellness accounts to follow on Instagram.
Hi friends! Happy Monday! How’s the day going so far? Got a substitute for today’s class since P wasn’t up to it (first Liv, now P, but she’s up), so we’re chilling here. Hope you have a wonderful and relaxing day.
For today’s post, I wanted to share some of my favorite accounts to follow on Instagram. I follow a LOT of accounts, but these are some of the ones that get me excited every time they post a new post or story. Something they all have in common: the fact that they stay true to themselves and they all have a no-BS type mentality. It turns out that I gravitate towards this reality.
I always love to hear about valuable new accounts to follow, so if you have any favorites that I haven’t mentioned in the list below, shout them out in the comments section! Also shameless catch here to follow meeeeeee. I post health related reels and lots of stories on my IG page.
10 of my favorite health Instagram accounts to follow
i’m a big fan of Dr. Stephen Cabral and likes to share his work with those I love. I took his Integrative Health Practitioner Certification source (join me as a virtual study buddy! Use code FITNESSISTA), and he’s extremely knowledgeable about SO much. Interesting fact: He started out in the fitness world as a personal trainer and embarked on this journey to cure himself of unexplained illnesses. He is now a certified naturopathic doctor, author, podcaster and has helped thousands of people around the world. Check out this podcastread his book, and you can listen to a podcast episode I did with him here!
I’m almost the Model health show #1 fan girl, so naturally I love to follow his account on IG. Everything he shares and posts is heavily backed by science, but he has such an understated way of breaking it all down to make it easier to understand. He has a few books that I have read and liked too. (Definitely check Eat smarter.)
It is one of my best RD accounts to follow because it gives concrete advice to improve your relationship with food and repair your metabolism, especially after a long-term diet. She also reviews popular diet products and eating programs on her page.
If you’re looking for a personal trainer to follow who provides guidance and support for all spectrums of a fitness journey (from very beginner to very advanced), definitely check out his page. If you’re looking for workout motivation, fitness tips, and muscle building, I highly recommend you check it out. He also has a amazing podcast and was featured on one of my podcast episodes here.
The Blood Sugar King aka Jason Wittrock wears a Nutrisense CGM and performs various experiments to see what raises his blood sugar and how his body recovers. It’s fascinating how something like a Chipotle burrito, protein bar, or rice that’s been chilled (turning it into resistant starch) can do. Friendly reminder that her results might be completely different from how your body reacts to food, but still very interesting to follow.
Dr. Mona Vand is a pharmacist turned healthy lifestyle influencer. She posts lots of tips (like what kind of pasta to choose, how to make an anti-inflammatory salad, when to look for organic options, etc.) and I LOVE her style/fashion too.
Amanda Rocchio shares healthy meal ideas, meal prep hacks, and tons of gorgeous recipes on her page. I feel like she does an amazing job demonstrating the *how* when it comes to creating a healthy lifestyle. Check out her page for tons of meal prep and recipe inspiration, especially if you’re looking for new ideas.
My friend Tina has been killing the IG game lately! She shares tips for balancing your hormones, mineral imbalances, healthy lifestyle strategies, functional test details, and supplements. I’ve known Tina since the early days of yore blogging, so it’s been pretty awesome to watch her business grow and evolve over the years. Check out his page here!
I think Dr. Connealy is amazing and I am always inspired by the work she does to treat various cancers through alternative and traditional therapies. She is very interested in root causes, treatment and making the terrain of the body inhospitable to cancer and recurrence. She has a book (I just ordered my copy!) and one of my favorite things is sharing what his team eats for lunch during meetings each week. It’s interesting to see what food choices they make while successfully treating cancer. (I see lots of healthy fats, red meat, sweet potatoes, sourdough, roasted vegetables, rice and fresh produce)
So tell me, folks: what are some of your favorite accounts to follow on IG?
Have a nice day and see you soon! Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today.
