The PET-LOVING of the Black Country are invited to participate in a walk in memory of their four-legged friends.
The Dignipets Memorial Walk will take place at Baggeridge Country Park off Wodehouse Lane near Sedgley on Sunday August 28 from 11am.
Dignipets is a mobile veterinary service specializing in palliative and end-of-life care, which offers veterinary support at home for sick animals, as well as emergency end-of-life care 24/7.
The firm has organized a free memorial walk for pet owners who have ever needed Dignipets or for anyone who just wants to take the time to pay homage to their former pets.
Maja Redfern, one of Dignipets’ vets, said: “We are organizing the walk so people can come together with other pet owners in memory of deceased pets.
“People can either bring current pets for the walk or just come join us for a walk in the beautiful surroundings of Baggeridge.
“I am walking for all the pets I have helped cross the Rainbow Bridge over the past few years. The loss of a pet is sadly something every pet owner will eventually have to deal with. What better way to pay tribute than to walk together in memory of?
“We have seen so many pets over the years and we work really hard to make sure their last moments at home are the best possible. We also know how much pets mean to their families and how Grieving a pet can affect pet owners and we want to acknowledge that.”
The event will also feature the Dignipets Veterinary Team to give information on elderly care, palliative care and caring for end-of-life animals.
Anyone attending is asked to meet at the main Baggeridge car park, located off Wodehouse Lane.
