A teenager from the Indian city of Nagpur entered a coding contest, where his victory even landed him an unimaginable job opportunity in an American company. However, the job offer granting him an annual salary of Rs. 33 lakh was rescinded when the reality of his age emerged.
Vedant Deokate, a 15-year-old boy from Nagpur, Maharashtra came across this online website development contest while he was just browsing social media. Amazingly, his 2066 lines of code landed him an amazing job offer. This New Jersey advertising agency has expressed interest in recruiting Vedant to the HRD team for work assignment and management of their coders.
However, the company resumed its job offer after learning that the coder was only 15 years old. It turns out that the company selected him from about 1,000 applications from all over the world. American society urged him not to be discouraged, suggested trying again after graduation. They said how impressed they were with the teenager’s behavior.
The accomplishments of the teenager:
He reportedly helped develop an “animeeditor.com” page, offering users the choice to publish videos with YouTube, as well as other provisions. He explained how one can even edit his profile, gain live followers and gain likes. He detailed how he used software such as Virtual Studio Code, as well as Java and HTML. A student of Narayana e techno, Vedant had also won the gold medal at a science exhibition with the development of a radar system model.
His parents, Rajesh and Ashwini, hold the positions of assistant professors in the engineering institutes of Nagpur. They were pretty strict about Vedant studies, making sure to keep electronic devices out of his reach to avoid any form of distraction. Because of this, the teenager shared how determined he was to seek education online.
Apparently, he found and joined a tutorial class, attending about 24 class sessions on coding and its techniques such as Python, as well as software development. He participated in it via his parents’ old laptop at home during the Covid0-19 pandemic, making adequate use of the rather old device. After winning the contest and getting the offer, her parents are now determined to buy her a new device, expressing their appreciation.
