The website of Questions Bank Ghana, an organization promoting online education, has launched the West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) Questions Bank interactive online portal for candidates to West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) and the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
The question bank is an online educational resource platform for middle and high school students, especially BECE and WASSCE students who are preparing to take their end-of-year exam.
Speaking to the media at the launch, Questions Bank Ghana website manager Dinah Oppong noted that the website also allows students to take a test within a time limit and receive scores immediately after answering the questions. the test questions while the scoring system of the answers are provided afterwards.
This, she explained, would give students the opportunity to try their hand at past questions from 2015 to 2022, build their confidence and keep up to date with exam requirements from the comfort of their own home or office. their school.
She explained that the website provided services that allowed parents, schools, teachers and students to take advantage of web database resources that ensured real flow and interaction between users and the website.
“The website allows users to access BECE and WASSCE past questions online. It also allows users to have access to reviews from reviewers and remarks on the expectations required of candidates in their final review,” added Ms. Oppong.
She said the websites contain blogs, images and text resources that allow candidates and students to access learning materials to help them prepare adequately for their end-of-year exam.
The website interface requires registration in order to access past questions for a fee of GH¢20 for individuals and a discount for groups and schools wishing to register on behalf of their students.
In order to browse the question bank website, users are required to enter their individual contact details which capture their names, email address, schools and a token in order to register.
The user dashboard is divided into three categories, first, take a test module now which helps users participate in live exams and assessments).
The second is Examiner’s Papers Review which allows users to see all examiners’ reviews, and finally Possible Questions and Answers which allows users to see all questions and answers from previous exam sessions.
Ms. Oppong noted that the advancement of online applications has made life easier and convenient, indicating that in the past, reading and learning could only take place in the library and in the classroom and thanks to the use of paper-based learning materials.
“Today, these things have migrated online, making learning even more fun for students and teachers alike. It’s this same philosophy that underpinned and gave birth to the Question Bank website launched” , she added.
